ABOUT GENEVIEVE

What neighborhood do you live in and how long have you lived there?

Old Si View since 2022

What is something most people don't know about you?

I don't have an extensive background in ceramics. I found clay late in life; the peace and happiness it gave me was something I had to share with the community. Oh, and I am part-time spin instructor!

Why do you think it's important for people to shop local?

Small, local businesses are what make up the fiber of the valley community. We need to keep them thriving so that they can continue to foster the small-town, family-oriented vibe we all love so much in the valley.

Where are your favorite places to go in the neighborhood/Valley?

We absolutely love to take our son to South Fork Restaurant where he can roam free and socialize! We also could eat at Iron Duck any day of the week. Si View Park is a huge daily part of our lives, from swim classes, events, sports and the playgrounds. I also spend a large portion of my time at Mt Si Sport + Fitness!

What are your favorite things to do in the neighborhood/Valley?

Play with my son at all the parks! Hiking, swimming, & paddle boarding, of course, and all the valley community events throughout the year. Also, as we are still pretty new to the valley, my family and I enjoy exploring all the places we haven't been to.

What are your favorite restaurants in the Valley?

South Fork, Iron Duck, Saints & Scholars

Anything additional you'd like people to know about your business?

Our focus is simple: clear instruction, a supportive team, and a calm studio workspace that helps you make work you are proud of. The studio is equipped for real work and real growth, including pottery wheels, hand-building tables, slab rollers, clay extruders, and a full firing program with electric kilns. You'll find all the tools, time & community you need.

What are the benefits of belonging to a local networking group?

For someone who is not extremely well-versed in social media advertising techniques, I think being part of a local networking group will help my new business reach a broader audience. I think another benefit is that it exposes each of our individual networks to products & services they didn't know were available in the community.
