What is something most people don't know about you?
My early years of learning about business came from being a singer at local events, restaurants, and wineries back home in the Prosser and Tri-Cities area where I’m from. My jazzy voice is always a surprise to people, but it put me through college and continues to be my favorite artistic outlet!
Why do you think it's important for people to shop local?
Shopping locally puts funds right back into our community. It’s an ideal cycle when you can take care of your family with the resources in town, and then those dollars go back to the families who own the businesses.
Where are your favorite places to go in the neighborhood/Valley?
We love to go to the North Bend Theatre for movies and comedy, Ignition for wine and beer, and to the blueberry farm in the summer.
What are your favorite things to do in the neighborhood/Valley?
My husband and I love to take our dog to the Three Forks Off Leash Park when the weather is warm, take drives and short hikes up the Middle Fork, and play golf at the Mt. Si course.
What are your favorite restaurants in the Valley?
There are many to choose from, but with Mexican food at the top of my favorites list, you can find us at Caadxi Oaxaca, Rio Bravo, or El Caporal. We love having an Italian night at Il Paesano, and for cravings in between, the Iron Duck is a must.
