What is something most people don't know about you?

I lived in Brazil for a year and a half, lived in Jerusalem for 2 months doing a Study Abroad program in college and have traveled extensively through my life.  I believe that no THING can make up for MEMORIES.  Memories are priceless; and what better way to make memories than exploring the world with the people you love!

 

Why do you think it's important for people to shop local?

Our community is just a bigger version of our family and no one has a more vested interest in our well being than our families.  As local business owners we “get it”. We know the struggles that families face here in the Valley, we know the joys too.  Local business owners know that when the rest of their “family” (community ) is prospering, so are they.  We care about the well being of our neighbors and will give unbeatable service to those we rub shoulders within the Valley…that’s just what family does.

 

Where are your favorite places to go in the neighborhood/Valley?

I am a runner and have been for 16 years. So I have run the trails, mountains, and streets of the Valley for the past 13 years. Seeing the beauty of Mill Pond Road in the early morning hours as the sun is rising and casting a shadow of Mt Si on the pond is indescribable. It is those moments that I always say “I live in a postcard”

 

What are your favorite things to do in the neighborhood/Valley?

I love to hike the many great trails that are in the mountains all around us.  I also love to just go for a run or walk with my family and take in the majesty of Mt. Si. 

 

What are your favorite restaurants in the Valley?

I love Gianfranco’s, Caadxi Oaxaca, and Heirloom Cookshop!

 

What is something most people don't know about the business?

Many think that there is no need for Travel Advisors anymore in an age where information is at our fingertips.  However, I find more and more that even though we have information easily accessible, it often feels overwhelming.  People are busy and often don’t have the time to put into researching locations, knowing what the BEST things to do in that area are, and how to get from one place to another.  This is my service. I do the research and planning.  This, paired with my personal knowledge from extensive travel myself, I create hassle-free vacation planning that allows my client to enjoy the anticipation of the travel instead of the long list of responsibilities in planning it.

 

Anything exciting going on that customers should know about?

The “wave” season has hit the cruise lines---which in essence means, ALL cruise lines have great deals going on!  This is the time to book! I love to create “land and sea” vacations where you get to cruise and experience new parts of the world, but also explore the city/country from where you set sail!  It’s the best of both worlds!
